UpLIFTer Spotlight: Introducing Blessing
7th February 2018
Hi my name is Blessing and I like singing, drama and football.
I like to run a lot and I don’t know if girls or boys are faster. I guess it depends on the person.
I was born in Spain, then I moved to Holland and I’ve lived in Tottenham for 3 years. The biggest difference between London and Rotterdam is you don’t get kidnapped and stuff like that and you can ride your bike.
I like cooking and my favourite thing to cook is my own traditional food. I cook dinner for my family a lot and my mum says it’s good to practice otherwise you might not know how to cook later on.
The Academy of Art was interesting but kind of boring. I learnt about different black people that I didn’t know before.
I want to be a nurse but I also want to be a midwife. Nursing is better because you can do different kind of things.
I think I can make a difference in the world; you know how some nurses don’t really talk to the people that actually need the help. We got to talk to people about mental health for the Mind event and I would ask people if they feel anything like we did at the event.
Loads of people have bad mental health and they don’t have anyone to talk to about it.
